Informal Organ Recital at St. Andrew’s Church, Kimbolton

Saturday 15th February 2020, 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.


Members of the Northampton & District Organists’ Association will be giving an informal Organ Recital on Saturday afternoon, 15th February, 2020, at St. Andrew’s Church, Kimbolton (organ by George Osmond, NPOR D04186). Parishioners and lovers of the organ in the Kimbolton area are invited. Parents and friends of performers and members are also welcome, and light refreshments will be provided.
Entry is free but there will be a box for donations.

The recital will include members’ own compositions and improvisations, and an introductory talk by Robert Tucker, the Director of Music.

Notice to perform is needed. Practice times during the morning of 15th February, or earlier, can be booked, as can lunch at the New Sun Inn at 20 High Street. For more details and to book a practice or performance slot or lunch, please contact John Wilson, President of NDOA at email, 01536 518941.

The church address is Thrapston Road, Kimbolton, Cambs. PE28 0AE – 7 miles west of St Neots on the B645. The church has the only Tiffany window in the UK, of which there are many photos online.

The Incorporated Association of Organists (IAO) to which PDOA is affiliated is holding its 2018 Music Festival in Peterborough, where its President, Steven Grahl, is Cathedral Organist (for a little longer).
